Last Updated: 25 September 2026

LinkedSim ("LinkedSim", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share information when you use the LinkedSim website, mobile application, purchase an eSIM, contact us for support, or otherwise use our services.

LinkedSim is a UK-based provider of digital eSIM products and connectivity services.

For privacy enquiries, please contact:

Email: support@linkedsim.co.uk

1. Information We Collect

When purchasing an eSIM or contacting us, we may collect:

  • Your email address.

  • Information you provide when contacting customer support.

  • Your order number or other information required to identify an order.

Your email address is required primarily so that we can process your order, deliver your eSIM and communicate with you about your purchase.

  • eSIM package purchased.

  • Data allowance.

  • Date and time of purchase.

  • Payment status.

  • eSIM delivery status.

  • eSIM activation or usage status where this information is made available by our eSIM provider.

Payment Information

Payments for LinkedSim products are processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe.

LinkedSim does not directly collect or store your full debit or credit card details.

Our payment provider may provide us with limited information relating to a transaction, such as:

  • Payment confirmation.

  • Payment status.

  • Transaction or payment reference.

  • Amount paid.

  • Currency.

  • Refund or dispute information.

  • Limited payment-method information where supplied by the payment provider.

Payment information processed directly by Stripe is subject to Stripe's own privacy and security practices.

2. Information Collected Through the LinkedSim App

The LinkedSim mobile application does not currently require users to create a LinkedSim account.

We therefore do not require you to create a username, password or customer profile simply to use the application.

When you make a purchase through the app, information necessary to process and fulfil that purchase may be transmitted between LinkedSim and our service providers.

This includes your email address, order information, payment confirmation and information required to generate and deliver the eSIM you purchased.

The app may also receive information concerning an eSIM's status or usage where necessary to provide functionality such as eSIM information or data-usage information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Process eSIM orders.

  • Deliver purchased eSIMs.

  • Confirm successful payments.

  • Generate or provision an eSIM through our eSIM provider.

  • Send order confirmations and eSIM information.

  • Provide customer support.

  • Investigate failed deliveries or technical issues.

  • Determine eSIM installation, activation or usage status.

  • Process refunds where applicable.

  • Investigate payment disputes or chargebacks.

  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse.

  • Maintain appropriate transaction and business records.

  • Comply with legal, regulatory, accounting and tax obligations.

  • Maintain, secure and improve the operation of LinkedSim.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Our Lawful Bases for Processing

Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for processing personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, LinkedSim may rely on the following lawful bases:

Performance of a Contract

We process information where necessary to fulfil our contract with you.

For example, we need your email address and order information to process your purchase and deliver your eSIM.

Legal Obligation

We may retain or process certain information where required to comply with applicable legal, accounting, tax, regulatory or consumer-protection obligations.

Legitimate Interests

We may process limited information where necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided those interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

These interests may include:

  • Preventing fraud.

  • Maintaining the security of our services.

  • Investigating technical problems.

  • Responding to disputes and chargebacks.

  • Maintaining appropriate business records.

  • Improving the reliability of our services.

Consent

Where we specifically rely on your consent for a particular use of your information, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

5. How Your Order Is Processed

LinkedSim uses third-party systems to provide its services.

When an eSIM is purchased, information may be transmitted between systems involved in:

Order → Payment Processing → Payment Confirmation → eSIM Provisioning → eSIM Delivery

Only information reasonably necessary to complete these processes is shared.

For example, payment information may be processed by our payment provider while order information is passed to our eSIM provider so that the correct eSIM can be generated and supplied.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party companies and infrastructure providers to operate LinkedSim.

These may include:

Payment Providers

We use payment-processing services such as Stripe to securely process payments.

eSIM and Telecommunications Providers

Information relating to your order may be shared with our eSIM suppliers, telecommunications providers, network partners or related technical providers where necessary to generate, activate, operate, monitor or support your eSIM.

These providers may also supply LinkedSim with technical records concerning:

  • eSIM delivery.

  • Installation.

  • Activation.

  • Network registration.

  • Data usage.

  • eSIM status.

These records may be used to provide support and investigate refund requests, service problems or payment disputes.

Cloud and Technical Infrastructure

We may use third-party cloud, database, automation, hosting, email and infrastructure providers to operate LinkedSim and securely process orders.

These providers only receive information required for the services they perform on our behalf.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of the service providers involved in payment processing, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications and eSIM provisioning may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate protections and safeguards required by applicable data-protection law are in place.

Depending on the destination and provider, these protections may include UK adequacy regulations, approved contractual safeguards or other lawful international-transfer mechanisms.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements.

Order and transaction records may therefore be retained after an eSIM has expired where necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes.

Customer-support correspondence may also be retained where necessary to maintain records of enquiries, complaints, refunds or disputes.

When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

9. Security

LinkedSim takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against:

  • Unauthorised access.

  • Loss.

  • Misuse.

  • Disclosure.

  • Alteration.

  • Destruction.

However, no electronic transmission, mobile application, telecommunications network or internet-based storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Customers should also take appropriate steps to protect their devices and eSIM activation information.

10. Marketing

We will not automatically add you to marketing communications simply because you purchase an eSIM.

Where we offer optional marketing communications, we will process your information in accordance with applicable UK data-protection and electronic-marketing requirements.

Where marketing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent or unsubscribe at any time.

Transactional communications relating to an order, payment, eSIM, refund, security issue or customer-support request are not marketing communications.

11. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis on which your information is processed, UK data-protection law may give you rights including:

  • Right of access – you may request a copy of personal information we hold about you.

  • Right to rectification – you may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Right to erasure – in certain circumstances, you may ask us to delete your personal information.

  • Right to restriction – in certain circumstances, you may ask us to restrict how your information is processed.

  • Right to object – in certain circumstances, you may object to our processing of your personal information.

  • Right to data portability – in certain circumstances, you may request that information you provided to us be transferred to you or another organisation.

  • Right to withdraw consent – where processing relies upon consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

These rights are not absolute and may depend on the circumstances and our lawful basis for processing the information.

To exercise a data-protection right, contact:

support@linkedsim.co.uk

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

12. Your Right to Object

Where LinkedSim processes your personal information on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing in certain circumstances.

You can raise an objection by contacting support@linkedsim.co.uk.

13. Complaints

If you have concerns about how LinkedSim handles your personal information, please contact us first so that we can investigate the matter.

You also have the right to raise a complaint with the UK's data-protection regulator:

Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

The ICO provides information about data-protection rights and how to submit a complaint through its official website.

14. Children's Privacy

LinkedSim does not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of creating customer accounts, as LinkedSim does not currently require users to create accounts.

Purchases should be made by individuals legally capable of entering into the relevant transaction or by an appropriate parent or guardian.

If we become aware that personal information relating to a child has been collected inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to address the matter.

15. Automated Decision-Making

LinkedSim does not currently use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on customers.

Automated systems may be used to process payments, generate orders, provision eSIMs, send emails and perform other routine operational functions.
